The Wagon Wheel Community Theatre is dedicated to stimulating local interest in the theatre arts by providing adults in our community with the opportunity to participate in theatrical productions as non-professional volunteers.

We seek to encourage members of our community to learn new skills, test their wings, and share their talents with others—onstage and off. Through multiple plays each season of a caliber worthy of the Wagon Wheel name, we aim to foster an appreciation for the theatrical arts and an opportunity for people to get involved!

Wagon Wheel Community Theatre will hold open auditions for their 2023 spring season January 10 and 11 from 6:30-8:30 PM, callbacks will be held on January 12 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Auditions will be located in the Wagon Wheel Theatre, located at 2515 East Center Street.
The spring season consists of a full-length comedy; Dearly Beloved to be performed March 9-12, 2023 and The Phantom of The Wagon Wheel which will be our annual audience participation murder mystery to be performed April 27-30, 2023.
Anyone in the community over the age of 18 is encouraged to audition. There is no need to prepare anything in advance, the audition format will be a “cold reading” in which participants read directly from the script rather than a prepared monologue. Theatrical resumes are welcome but not required. Community members are encouraged to audition for one or both shows during the audition process as the rehearsal schedules do not conflict.
