Save the date for our annual Day of Giving!
More than 1.4 million performing arts workers nationwide suffered a job loss this past year due to COVID-19. Young professionals, especially, lost critical career-building experiences with summer stock theatres canceled, internships postponed, and even university productions suspended.
The Wagon Wheel Professional Theatre has always been a training ground for these young professionals and a preferred employer for students attending some of the top theatre and musical theatre programs in the nation. But last summer, we had to give the devastating news to more than 50 hopeful company members that their summer at the Wagon Wheel was postponed.
But now it is time to bring them back to the stage!
Beginning May 14th, actors and company members will start to return to the Wagon Wheel! So for Day of Giving this year, we are raising money to support the theatre artists that make Warsaw and the Wagon Wheel home for the summer. Your gifts towards our $100,000 goal will sponsor an actor or company member by providing them a paycheck or covering their housing expenses for the summer.
And the best part is, the first $7,500 donated is being matched 1:1 by Toyota of Warsaw and an anonymous donor!
Help us CELEBRATE the return of theatre and music to the Wagon Wheel, help us WELCOME HOME the performers, artists, and theatre technicians to their careers, our stage, and their Wagon Wheel family.
Your donation on Day of Giving will welcome back more than 50 professional company members to the Wagon Wheel and our community, providing these young professionals with critical job experience and career development and our entire community with exceptional quality theatre.
Will you give to help bring home theatre artists and the community to the Wagon Wheel?
Wagon Wheel is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that belongs to your community and your gift, in any amount, will share the magic, change a community, and lift peoples’ spirits when they need it most!
